Closer to Nowhere consists of Dan Monroe, Jon Meyers and Craig Underwood. These three have been together since 2004, since the replacement of the bands first drummer. Three good natured and good humored guys, they are in it because they love making music. Although fame and fortune would be a nice reward for the hard work.

		How it all began Closer to Nowhere began back in the fall of 2002. The band first consisted of three members; Dan Monroe, Jon Meyers, and Jeff Davis. The first gig was at South High's Winter Jam the same year, and many smaller venues followed. The band started out playin some covers until in the beginning of 2003, their original music started to surface. With just two practices, the band won South High's Battle of the Bands, subduing the competition. Four original songs were developed over the next couple months, and Closer to Nowhere began shaping its own identity. Equipped with the new songs CTN finished third at the Argyle Battle of the Bands (with an asterix). The band passed the summer playing small paying gigs and shows for friends. The band played at South High's homecoming in 2003, and a couple months later, the Winter Jam, with a new addition at guitar. Craig Underwood began playing with the band as a second guitarist, and when Dan and Jon split with their former drummer, he stepped in to take over the job. Since Craig's addition to the band, Closer to Nowhere has amassed over 16 songs, 12 of which will be on their first demo. Playing small gigs, getting recognized, and spreading the word. People, we're just gettin started...
